Esatto FMA135
Here's an Askar FMA135 adapted to work on the Primaluce Labs Esatto 2 focuser. The FMA135 is regarded as having quite respectable optics but its helical focuser somewhat a weak point. This mod has fixed the issue, plus of course it now has software controlled focus.
The objective lens is factory threaded at the front and this is used to attach it to an aluminium adapter which inserts into the Esatto. The front plastic cover acts as an extended dew shield and houses a dew heater power connector. A small film resistor is enough to keep the lens assembly warm.
On the camera side the FMA135 flattener is attached to a Takahashi FS60CB 56mm adaptor using a Baader conversion ring.
Adding a short TAK extender gets focus in the travel range of the Esatto and an M56 Male to M48 Female converter allows the assembly to be attached to the focuser.
